I love seeing those little nubs! I try and bury the stalks sometimes when I LST to get those roots to pop up top
If your talking about the base of the stalk. Those are potential root sprouts. If they were covered constantly and moist they’d sprout more roots. If they don’t they normally start to “bark”. Idk the science or biology of it but it’s perfectly normal.
